On 06/01/2023 at 9:00 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susy Cervantes and Fermin Campos-Jaramillo met with lead teacher, Marizela Soria, for a case management visit to reduce their capacity from 60 to 40, room 24 is being removed from the preschool license. Present during today's visit were three staff and 19 children in room 38B and three staff and 19 children in room 39A. A clearance from the Salinas Fire Department was received prior to today's visit. The following measurements were taken during today's visit: Room 39A: 39.167 x 25.167= 985.72 minus 32.92 (encumbered space) = 952.80 Room 39 B: 39.167 x 29.417= 1152.18 minus 51.04 (encumbered space) = 1101.14 TOTAL INDOOR SPACE: 952.80 + 1101.14 = 2053.93 sq. ft. divided by 35 = 58 Outdoor space measurement were not taken during today's visit since the facility is currently active and was previously measured. Previous measurement for OUTDOOR SPACE: 6053.717 divided by 75 = 80 There were two restrooms and two sinks in each classroom, 4 sinks (60) and 4 toilets (60) total. There are staff bathrooms that a sick child can use. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the teacher, Marizela Soria . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. LPAs advised teacher, Marizela Soria, that licensure for 40 children is approved pending the following: - Management's approval
