What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Jimenez-Villanueva, met with licensee Noemi Valdez's mom for a case management visit to increase capacity and explained the reason for the visit. Present at home was Noemi's mom, no children in care. LPA call licensee, licensee stated children left early today. Licensee arrived 30 minutes. Licensee stated that there are four (4) adults residing in the home: herself, her mom, her daughter and her sister. Children living at home: one child thirteen year old. Fire clearance was granted on April 4, 2025, by Salinas Fire Department with special conditions as follows: Maintain fire sprinkler system per NFPA 25 Standard, maintain all special licenses/permits, conduct and maintain record of fire drill, maintain fire/smoke alarm systems per NFPA 72 standard, maintain fire extinguishers per Title 19, CA Code or Regs; Maintain exit/egress to the public way per CFC CH 10, highlighted areas are approved, Garages are NOT approved. LPA reviewed the requirements stated on the fire clearance with licensee Noemi Valdez including two bedrooms, one bathroom, pantry, entire second floor, outdoor patio , stairs, attached garages and entire back yard are NOT approved for use. There are two garages together and one separate. LPA conducted tour of inside and outside of the home. The home is one of three homes located on the premises. All homes have the same address but are identified by A, B and C. There is a combo fire and monoxide detector is functioning and FCCH is equipped with 3A40BC fire extinguisher was serviced on 02/13/25. Fire pull station is installed in the entry way near front door. LPA observed a fire drill was conducted on April 10, 2025. Continues LIC 809-C page 2. Page 2. Licensee has current CPR and first aid certificate that expires on 02/22/2027. Mandated Reporter training is current and was taken on 02/18/2025. LPA observed barricaded stairs, no bodies of water and backyard fenced. Licensee stated there are no fireplace and no weapons in the home. LPA observed a cat and a dog in the home, licensee stated are vaccinated and cat stays outside and dog in the kitchen off limits area. LPA reviewed with licensee their ratio/capacity for a large FCCH as well as assistant requirement. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Noemi Valdez in Spanish. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100; and advised her that a large Family Child Care Home license will be approved upon completion of the following: Licensing Program Manager (LPM) review and approval.
