What the inspector wrote

On 02/12/2024 at approximately 10:25am, Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat met with Licensee Representative Kristin Henry for the purpose of a increase in capacity from 12 to 27. The fire clearance (STD850) was granted and received on 02/12/2024. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Previously the hours were listed as 9:00am-1:15pm. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one building on site that is used by the facility. There are two classrooms. LPA observed a sufficient number of tables, chairs, cubbies, and napping cots for preschool children. LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate toys and equipment. There is a first aid kit in the art room. Medications are stored in the in the classrooms in locked boxed. Cleaning disinfectants will be stored inaccessible to children. The owner stated there are no poisons, bodies of water, or firearms on the premises. Water is provided to children using water bottles and a water fountain. There are no changes to the facility's indoor and outdoor space. CAB LPA measured 1244.91 total for today's inspection. The Truckee classroom space contains a total of 586.74 square feet and the Donner room has 658.17 which will accommodate Applicant's request for 27 preschool children. There are 3 toilets and 3 sinks for the children, and a waiver on file for a shared restroom for the staff. OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one outdoor area for children to use on the property. CAB LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment and toys available for use. There are no changes to the outdoor activity space; therefore, CAB LPA did not take measurements. CAB LPA used measurements from report dated 12/16/2022. The outdoor play area contains a total of 11900 square feet, which accommodates Applicant's request for 27 preschool children. Report continues on LIC809-C.... The outdoor play area is fenced with a wrought iron fence that is four feet tall. LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate outdoor toys and equipment. There are no bodies of water on the premises. There are shaded areas supplied by trees, seasonal coverings, and sides of building. Licensee Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Prior to issuing a license, the following conditions must be submitted: 1. Pending Manager review by Mai Lor. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Representative.
