What the inspector wrote

This is a follow-up proof of correction inspection that was made by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Romy Castanon and LPA Patricia Rivas. LPA Rivas arrived at 7:50 am and conducted a self-guided tour of the facility. Census was taken and there were 29 preschool children with 4 staff members. LPA Rivas met with Director Andrea Silva at 8:30 am. LPA Castanon arrived at 8:40 am. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on 03/23/2023 indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions, A visit was conducted on 03/09/2023. The following deficiencies that were previously cited on 03/09/2023 has been cleared: 1. 101238(a)(1) Buildings and Grounds – Assistant Director Aimee Valentin provided LPA with calendar including dates of pest management company appointments to continue monitoring pests in the facility. 2. 101219(f) Admission Agreements – Assistant Director manages the inventory checklist she created. LPA interviewed staff members present and confirmed the demand for supplies is being met. LPA observed the Notice of Site Visit only. LPA did not observe the Facility Evaluation Report and the LIC 809D from the visit on 03/09/2023 posted by the main entrance in the office. The facility is not within compliance of 1596.8595 Health & Safety Code. A civil penalty is being assessed today. Upon receipt, licensee shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents/guardians of children in care at the facility and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months. Licensee shall have LIC9224 (Acknowledgement of Receipt) signed and kept in each child's file. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Andrea Silva. Appeal Rights were discussed. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. (End of Report)
