What the inspector wrote

On 04/24/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) K. Navar and V., Trinh conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection assisted by Director Aimee, Valentin.The facility was operating within teacher child ratios and the licensed capacity and posting requirements were met. Census was taken in each infant program classroom and there was a total of 56 preschool children and 6 qualified staff. An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. During inspection LPAs toured classrooms with Director. LPA's observed 5 staff and 46 children on the preschool playground and 1 staff with 10 children in the classroom. LPAs toured bathrooms that were observed to be clean and sanitary at the time of inspection. 5 preschool staff files were reviewed; the LPA confirmed that each file contained Teacher Qualifications & Teacher Aide Qualifications and that all required forms were present. The LPA confirmed that 1 staff member is EMSA approved for Pediatric First Aid/CPR expiration date 4/04/2025 and 5 Child Mandated Reporter certifications were on file. 2 Staff (S1-S2) were expired. Director stated that they are working on it and will put a copy in the file as soon as completed. Continue to page 2. Page 2 The LPA discussed the following resources with Director Aimee Valentin and reminded her that it is her responsibility to review the information in more detail. During the visit, the director was reminded that Licensing Quarterly Updates are available at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care/self-assessment-guides-and-key-indicator-tools/quarterly-updates . The director understands it is her responsibility to review the Provider Information Notices (PIN) found on the CCLD website above. The director understands that she may request to be added to an email list to receive a Quarterly Update by contacting the Child Care Advocate at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov or at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe . The director was informed that Title 22 regulations may be accessed at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/letters-regulations/legislation-and-regulations/community-care-licensing-regulations/child-care In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were observed of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 at the time of the visit. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Aimee, Valentin. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
