Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Page 2 of 2 During the course of investigation, LPA interviewed 8 staff working in infant/toddler classrooms, and contacted 9 parents of whom 2 parents responded. The staff stated they have not been unkind to children and they have not yelled at children. They did not acknowledge observing any unkind and mean behavior from any staff. They did no acknowledge any staff to yell at children. Staff # 1 denied being mean to children by yelling at children. Staff # 1 stated they are gentle and kind to children and they have gone through lots of training on how to treat children. LPA also contacted 9 random infant/toddler parents. Out of 9 parents, two parents responded with positive feedback and no concerns regarding this area. Children were not being interviewed due to their young age to be qualified. During the course of interviews with eight staff, and 9 parents of whom 2 responded, there is not enough proof or evidence to support the above allegations occurred or did not occur. This agency has investigated the complaint alleging "the Staff left children unattended on the playground" and "Staff are mean to young children"; although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove, the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED. Notice of Site Visit was posted. The notice of site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100. In the areas which were investigated, no deficiency was cited today. The director, Kathern De La Torre was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 1/16) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights.
