What the inspector wrote

On 04/24/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) K. Navar and V. Trinh conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection assisted by Director Aimee, Valentin. The facility was operating within teacher child ratios and the licensed capacity and posting requirements were met. Census was taken in each infant program classroom and there was a total of 18 infants and 5 qualified staff. An on-site Facility Personnel Report Summary review indicates all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Upon arrival the LPAs observed classrooms identified as infants and Todd A. Infants were engaged in different carpet activities. During inspection of Infants classroom LPA's observed one teacher holding an infant and supervising the other infants in the carpet area. LPA's observed Todd A and bathroom that appeared to be clean and sanitary. 4 infant staff files were reviewed; the LPA confirmed that each file contained Teacher Qualifications & Teacher Aide Qualifications and that all required forms were present. The LPA confirmed that 1 staff member is EMSA approved for Pediatric First Aid/CPR expiration date 3/05/2026 and 3 Child Mandated Reporter certifications were on file and in compliance. 1 staff (S1) certificate expired 3/2025. Director stated they are working on the training and will put in the file. The LPA discussed the following resources with Director Aimee, Valentin and reminded her that it is her responsibility to review the information in more detail. Continue to page 2. The director was informed that Title 22 regulations may be accessed at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/letters-regulations/legislation-and-regulations/community-care-licensing-regulations/child-care Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Aimee, Valentin. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
