Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

The Department received a complaint on 1/27/2025 alleging that staff yells at day care children. LPA interviewed 8 staff at the facility. 2 Staff stated they have witnessed other staff yelling at preschool children. 4 Staff interviewed stated they have a loud and firm voice at times in order to get children’s attention. LPA interviewed 5 children at the facility. Child 1 (C1) and Child 4 (C4) stated their teachers yell at them when friends are in trouble. LPA interviewed parents; parents disclosed information that could support the allegation. Based on conducted interviews, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. A substantiated finding means that the complaint is substantiated, and the allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met. See LIC9099D for a Type B deficiency cited. An exit interview was conducted with Director, Sun Chung. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. The director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. First-level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. Page 2 of 2
