What the inspector wrote

An unannounced case management inspection was conducted today at 2:00pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Erica Laird. LPA met with licensee Aldeen Hamilton. In response to an Unusual Incident Report received by the Department on 8/14/24. The licensee self-reported an incident regarding a child alleging the licensee had pulled her hair while in care. The licensee, Aldeen Hamilton was interviewed on 9/10/24 at 2:03pm and stated that she never pulled a child's hair as punishment. Aldeen stated there was an incident on July 18, 2024 when she told C1 they would not be getting a Popsicle due to their behavior. C1 began screaming and shaking so Aldeen reached for them and accidentally got her thumb caught in C1's hair. Aldeen stated she never intentionally pulled C1's hair. On 9/10/24 LPA Laird conducted 1 staff interview (S1). S1 stated they have never observed Aldeen punish a child physically. S1 stated they only do "sit and think about it". On 8/19/24 LPA Laird obtained official records and the facility roster. There were no deficiencies cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Aldeen Hamilton. Appeal Rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
