Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the LPA observed one unloaded firearm and ammunition stored together in a locked safe. Both were in an off limit area. All children were with the Assistant downstairs with a barricade at the bottom of the stairs during the entire facility tour.
