During the facility tour the LPA observed one unloaded firearm and ammunition stored together in a locked safe. Both were in an off limit area. All children were with the Assistant downstairs with a barricade at the bottom of the stairs during the entire facility tour.

Based on the observation and record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During a facility tour the LPA observed a pool alarm which was tested by the Licensee and was in working condition. However, the pool alarm was not ASTM approved.
