Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

the refrigerator and pantry, and observed that there was an adequate supply of food for the children in care. Additionally, interviews revealed that the licensee participates in the Child Development Associates (CDA) food program, which includes monthly visits by a monitor to ensure compliance with program guidelines. LPA also contacted the CDA monitor, who confirmed that there were no concerns regarding the family childcare home (FCCH) and that a recent visit had not occurred due to the FCCH being closed. The last meal observed by the CDA monitor at the FCCH was on August 19, 2024. Regarding children with allergies, the licensee stated that parents would provide their own food for those children and that the licensee was not required to provide food for them. Regarding the allegation that the facility is unkempt, it was claimed that the daycare was not properly maintained. During a health and safety inspection conducted on January 22, 2025, it was observed that the areas of the home used for daycare were clean and free of hazards. A follow-up visit was conducted on February 27, 2025, and LPA did not observe any hazards, and the daycare appeared to be clean, therefore the allegation that the facility is unkempt is Unsubstantiated. Based on observation and interviews, the allegations that licensee is not providing adequate food service to day care children and facility is unkempt may have occurred, however are not supported or proven by evidence. Therefore, the allegations are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report, and appeal rights were provided to licensee.
