On June 26, 2024, at 11:34 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Courtnee Peebles conducted an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. This is not a combination childcare center. A tour of the inside and outside of the facility was granted and the following was observed and/or noted: \302\267 The following items were posted and updated where necessary: - License - Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148) - Parent\342\200\231s Rights Poster (PUB393) - Personal Rights (LIC613A) - Child Car Seat Law \302\267 The facility is operating within the limits as stated on the license. \302\267 Ratios are being met during this inspection with one operating classroom three staff and twelve children. \302\267 Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment and free of hazards \302\267 There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Lauren Losie \302\267 LPA observed a water jumper and other items that spray water for children in care during \342\200\234beach week\342\200\235, All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Drinking water is provided in the indoor activity space with public filtered water - and in the outdoor activity space by public filtered water \302\267 Medications are stored where inaccessible to children in the directors office. During the facility tour and record review C1 has an epi-pen at the facility, however it is not in its original packaging. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. A citation will be issued. \302\267 Hazardous items are stored where inaccessible to children which include: Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous \302\267 Poisons and toxins are locked and inaccessible to children \302\267 All floors were observed to be clean and safe \302\267 Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition \302\267 Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards \302\267 Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition \302\267 All storage containers for solid waste were observed to have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair \302\267 Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements \302\267 Disaster drills are conducted at least every six months \342\200\223 last drill conducted on 03/12/2024 A review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation. Staffs records were found to be complete Children\342\200\231s records were found to be complete during this inspection. \302\267 Staff records review indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired. \302\267 A staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 08/31/2025 \302\267 Opening and closing staff member\342\200\231s CPR/First Aid expires on 08/31/2025 \302\267 Director completed Health and Safety Training \302\267 A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Parent Handbook/ Program Curriculum/Admission policies and procedures/ fee schedule (only if changes have been made or file copy is more than 2 years old) 4. LIC 309 Administrative Organization (only if changes have been made or file copy is more than 2 years old) 5.
