Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Velasco met with Facility Representative, Director Hailey Tuaumu (Director), for an unannounced complaint investigation inspection pertaining to the above allegations. The purpose of today's inspection was explained to Director. During the investigaiton, LPA toured the facility, observed care, reviewed documents, and interviewed children, staff, and parents. LPA observed staff sanitize toys, prevent children from sharing water bottles, maintain required ratio, and allow children access to one toilet and sink per 15 children. Document reviews yielded evidence of staff sanitizing toys, preventing children from sharing water bottles, maintaining ratio, and giving children access to one toilet and sink for every 15 children. Witness statements were consistent in asserting that staff sanitize toys, prevent children from sharing water bottles, maintain required ratio, and have one toilet and one sink per fifteen children in care. Although the allegation(s) may have happened, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegations; therefore, the allegations are unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, Hailey Tuaumu. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
