Case Management inspection following serious incident investigation. Child sustained second-degree burns on palms, forearms, and nose from contact with hot tile surfaces lacking adequate shade protection. Type A citation issued with $10,000 civil penalty assessed.

- Outdoor yard floors made of European tiles reaching temperatures hot to touch in direct sunlight
- Tiles in direct sun at 10:20 AM; partial shade by 11:36 AM; more extensive shade by 1:33 PM
- Child sustained second-degree burns on right and left palms and forearms from crawling on hot tiles on 5/21/2025 at approximately 10:45 AM
- No shade covering in Toddler yard area where incident occurred
- Child taken to hospital by parent following incident
