What the inspector wrote

On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA's), Diana Brasel and Griselda Castellon conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase of capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Asst. Director Sarah Ellmore. During visit director Alisa Holtegaard arrived and continued the visit with LPA's. Licensee is requesting to increase their current preschool capacity from 64 children to 68 children ages 2 years to 6 years of age in the Two's, Three's, Combo 3/4, and the Fours room. Additional space to be used is the Music/Movement Fitness room and the Tutorial room. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:30pm. Present during today’s inspection were (52) children with (8) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Director that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 3719.35, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (68) children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via filtered drinking fountains, children's own water bottles with filling with facilities filtered water. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 04/21/2025. LPA observed a total of (9) sinks and (7) toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (68) children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is block wall and chain link, which is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 7710.01 , which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via built in permanent canopies . There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing structure on the playgrounds is age appropriate for children in care and is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by artificial turf and rubber matting. Drinking water is available via children's water bottles with filter water. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Director was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. An approved waiver to share indoor space areas of the Music/Movement Fitness and Tutorial Room with school age children shall be granted. An increase in capacity from a total of 64 children to 68 children will be granted upon a final file review. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Alisa Holtegaard Director.
