CUNNINGHAM & ALAMIN FAMILY CHILD CARE

What Happened

During a comprehensive annual inspection tied to a requested capacity increase, LPA found several compliance gaps. Reachable poisonous plants in the backyard, a missing infant sleep plan, and expired pediatric CPR/First Aid cards were noted.

Observations

  • The backyard was not completely fenced, so the licensee and co-licensee had to stay physically present with children outside
  • Poisonous oleander and birds of paradise in the backyard were reachable to older children
  • The children's records were complete except that a LIC9227 Infant Sleeping Plan was missing for a young infant
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid cards for the licensee and co-licensee had expired on 2021-10-19
  • The licensee agreed to trim the reachable plants and submit documentation
  • The home was operating within licensed capacity and appropriate ratios
