What the inspector wrote

On 8/12/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Saraliz Velando and Edleen Montesa conducted an unannounced annual inspection with capacity increase. LPAs were greeted by the licensee, Sylta Telemarque and her minor son. The 1 bedroom, 1-bathroom, 1 story home was toured and inspected to ensure the environment is healthy and safe for the care of children. Licensee will be using the Family room, Dining room, Bathroom, and Bedroom (bedroom only for additional room for napping). Off limit areas are kitchen and patio and are inaccessible by use of safety gates and door lock. The applicant has sufficient toys and equipment available. Applicant will use complex playground for outdoor activities. The fire extinguisher 2A10BC meets regulations and is located in the hallway. Carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector combo meet the requirements and is operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home and LPAs did not observe any. Licensee was advised to submit landlord consent if she would like to take care of more than 12 children. First Aid and CPR expire on October 2024. Applicant completed Mandated Reporter Training and will expire on March 2025. No corrections are needed. An exit interview was conducted with Licensee, Sylta Telemarque. A large license will be granted upon final file review.
