Correction check·January 9, 2024

On January 9, 2024 at 7:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the citation issued on 12/12/23 was corrected. Upon arrival, LPA met with Assistant Director, Liliana Arredondo and LPA toured the facility. There were eighteen (18) children and two (2) staff members present. LPA observed facility operating within ratio. LPA observed the following ratio: Discovery Classroom having nine (9) children with one (1) staff member and Classroom PK having with (9) children with one (1) staff member.\302\240 On or about 7:25 AM another staff member arrived in the Discovery classroom. LPA reviewed children's records to be complete with the LIC9224 acknowledgement form. The citation issued on 12/12/23 for facility being out of ratio has been corrected. Director states facility moved teachers around to have a five minute cushion so they can be available if needed. Director states the assistant Director or Director step in if needed. Director states she is in the process of hiring another teacher that will start 1/8/24. The Department received a written statement of the understanding of this regulation, updated LIC500, and a plan of correction on 12/13/23. A copy of the report and appeal rights (LIC 9058) was provided to Director. LPA observed Licensee post LIC9213 \342\200\223 Notice of Site Visit and Licensee was advised this notice is to be posted for 30 days from today\342\200\231s date. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Assistant Director, Liliana Arredondo.
