Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensee and licensee’s assistant stated that care and supervision is always provided to the children when they are indoors and during outdoor activities. Licensee stated that on the day in question, a daycare child sustained an injury that did not require medical attention. Licensee stated that first aid was applied immediately to the injury and the child's authorized representative was contacted. Based on interviews conducted, there were no disclosures that collaborated that licensee did not provide adequate care or supervision resulting in child's injury. Due to conflicting interview statements the allegation is found to be unsubstantiated. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No deficiencies cited. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given to Licensee, Janelle Gonya and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) were provided. An exit interview conducted, and report was reviewed with Licensee, Janelle Gonya.
