Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 10/18/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando made an unannounced visit to deliver the findings of a complaint investigation initiated on 8/21/24. At the time of the visit, there were 65 preschool children in care and 10 staff present. The complaint was fully investigated by the Department for the allegations that a classroom is operating out of ratio and that staff did not prevent a daycare child from being bit multiple times. During the investigation, interviews with potential witnesses, parents, and staff was conducted. Pertinent documentation was also reviewed. Based on the department’s investigation, there was no evidence found to prove the allegations made against the daycare and their staff. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is no corroborating evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred. The preponderance of the evidence has not been met and therefore, the above allegations are found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. The exit interview was conducted with the Director, Megan Eckert. Appeal Rights and a copy of the licensing report was provided. A notice of site visit was posted and must remain for 30 days.
