What the inspector wrote

On 04/24/2024 at 11:18am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced inspection for the purpose of the facility adding a wall to divide up classrooms #1 and #2. Facility also added an additional restroom for the children to use. Upon arrival, LPA Siao met with Director Dulce Huerta and conducted a tour of the classrooms to gather census. Classroom #4 had 10 children supervised by 3 staff members, classroom #5 had 12 children supervised by 2 staff members, classroom #3 had 7 children supervised by 2 staff members during nap time and the children were observed napping on cots. Appropriate title 5 ratio were observed in all classrooms and all staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. LPA conducted a tour of the new preschool classrooms 2A, 2B, 1A and 1B. All classrooms are set up with age-appropriate furniture and equipment. There is a new restroom that has 5 sinks and 4 toilets available for the children. Each of the classrooms has 3 sinks available for the children and there is a changing table that is within reach of the sink. LPA conducted a tour of the preschool and toddler playgrounds areas today. No hazardous items were accessible to children. Facility representative has decided to keep the same capacity by having 21 toddlers (ages 18-36 months) in classrooms #1A and #1B and 76 preschool age children (ages 2–5-year-old) in classrooms #3, #4, #5, #2A and #2B. The fire clearance was approved on 4/22/2024. There are two toilets and six sinks designated for the toddler. No correction is needed. LPA Siao will update the license effective today and will email the updated license to the Director within this week. Notice of site visit shall be posted for 30 days.
