Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced case management today. LPA met with the licensee, DanTong Chen (Dorothy). The purpose of the inspection was explained to her. There was an infant present. The licensee requested to switch the children's bathroom to a bigger bathroom she had in the house. She also wanted to add the backyard to her daycare. LPA inspected the added areas for health and safety hazards. The children's bathroom was clean and free of harmful objects. The lower bathroom sink cabinet and drawer were latched. LPA inspected the backyard. The license accessed the backyard from the side gate that was next to the garage door. The backyard was completely fenced. The licensee separate the shed area that was located in the back of the yard with the fence. There were plenty of age-appropriate outdoor toys, ride-on toys, slide structure, and play house, and children's furniture available. The licensee also installed a artificial turf underneath the slide structure to prevent injury. The large children's bathroom and backyard were approved to add to the daycare areas. As of today. the daycare areas were the living room, dining room, bathroom #2 (it is next to the mother-in-law's bedroom -#3), and the front portion of the backyard. The off-limit areas were all bedrooms, bathroom#1(it s next to the kitchen), in-law, garage, and back portion of the backyard. This report and notice of site visit were discussed with the licensee and must be made available to the public upon request.
