What the inspector wrote

LPA Yee conducted a case management inspection today. The licensee requested an increase in capacity for this license. The LPA and the licensee, Minna, toured the daycare areas to identify any health and safety hazards. The licensee is seeking licensure as a Large Family Child Care Home (FCCH). Fire clearance approval is on file. Fire clearance was approved on 02/19/2026. Inspection Findings: The licensee owns the home. Current residents include the licensee, her husband, her mom, dad and her two minor children. Control of Property: The paper work is on file. Operating Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM \342\200\223 06:00 PM . CPR & First Aid Certification: Valid through 05-02-2027 . Discipline Policy: Redirection and communication Meals Provided: Morning snack, afternoon snack and lunches. Bodies of Water: None present (no pool, hot tub, etc.). Designated Day Care Areas : living room, kitchen, dining room and backyard. Off-Limit Areas : Off-limit areas: bedroom #1 (licensee's room), bedroom #2 (mom and dad), and the garage. The home has a size 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a carbon monoxide detector, and a smoke detector. LPA advised the facility to conduct emergency drills once every six months and keep a log sheet. LPA reviewed AB 1207 with the applicant. As of January 1, 2018, all staff members are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com . The applicant AB1207 certificate is current until 06-12-2026. Continue next page. The licensee, Minna was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, before initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with the licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPAs also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC9227) form was discussed and provided. LIC9227 is for Infant under 12 month old. When the infant(new born to 24 month old) is napping, it needs to be checked every 15 mins and documented on a log sheet. A log sheet needs to be in the children file for 2 years. On this date 05/27/2025, the California Attorney General \342\200\223 Megan\342\200\231s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California\342\200\231s Megan\342\200\231s Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ. Licensee, Minna was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Licensee owns the home: The paper work is on file. LPA reviewed with licensee, the LIC311D, Forms/Records to Keep in Your Family Child Care Homes, children\342\200\231s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms.
