Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 10/9/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC) to address an incident report received by CCLD on 7/6/23. Specifically, a C1 walked out of the classroom and opened the front door of CCC, where C1 proceeded to walk to the outdoor front gate. LPA met with Amber Villamor, Site Supervisor, and Director Miranda Aguilar and explained the purpose of the inspection. Site Supervisor provided LPA an account of what transpired and re-enacted C1 walking out of the CCC. Site Supervisor notes C1 was trailed by Teacher Klya Riley as C1 was new to the facility. Site Supervisor estimated the duration C1 was outside of the sight of staff members as less than one minute. C1 was redirected to the classroom without incident and the parents of C1 were informed of the incident after occurrence. Site Supervisor informed LPA staff members providing care of C1 were addressed with regard to the incident and child safety gates were installed in the CCC. No deficiencies were cited during todays inspection. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements may result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with representatives Amber Villamor and Miranda Aguilar.
