What the inspector wrote

On 10/4/2024, at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Manager, (LPM) Maria Mueller, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Gigi Reyes and Shane Loftus met with, Miranda Aguilar - Program Director and Amber Villamor - Site Supervisor of Nipomo Recreation and Nipomo Recreation Little Bits Preschool Program. This meeting was called for to address concerns regarding the violations of Title 22 Division 12 of California Code of Regulations at the Child Care Center. The applicable regulations were reviewed with the licensee and the following areas were discussed. Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision 101229 Personal Rights 101223(a)(3) Reporting Requirements 101212(d)(1)(C) Reporting Requirements 101212(f) Outdoor Fence 101238.2(g) As a result of this discussion, Licensee, Director and Site Supervisor agreed to the following corrective actions: 1. Effective October 4, 2024, the Child Care Center will be placed on compliance plan. 2. Increased unannounced inspections to the Child Care Center will be required. 3. By October 24, 2024, the Program Director shall submit a written statement detailing the measures that will be implemented to ensure compliance with CCR Title 22 Division 12. Continued on LIC 809C 3. In-Service -Training for Staff: The Child Care Center will conduct in-service training for all staff members in a monthly basis. A training roster, signed by all staff, will be submitted within the next 10 days by (October 24, 2024) The topics covered in the training will be reported to Community Care Licensing (CCL) on a monthly basis for the next six months. 4. Training Videos: Staff will complete the following training videos via California Department of Social Services (CDSS) platform, no later than November 10, 2024. - Children's Personal Right - Child Care Reporting Requirement - Supervising Children in Child Care Center 5. Training handouts were also provided for training reference 6. Referral to CDSS Technical Support Program(TSP). TSP flyer was provided to Director and will contact LPA Reyes if center decides to use this program. Upon receipt of this report, licensee shall post this at the CCC, and provide copies to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. Report was reviewed with Program Director, Miranda Aguilar and Site Supervisor Amber Villamor. The Program Director and Site Supervisor agree to operate in compliance with Title 22, Division 12, CCR at all times. Upon receipt of this report, licensee shall post this at the CCC, and provide copies to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report.
