What the inspector wrote

On 3/27/2025 at 9:20 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Gigi Reyes and Bill Billones conducted an unannounced Required 3 year inspection at the above Childcare Center (CCC). The purpose of the inspection was discussed with Center Supervisor, Maria Reyes who provided a tour of the facility. The CCC operates as a seasonal migrant center, providing services for the period of from April to October, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During today\342\200\231s inspection, no children were present as the CCC is still in the process of preparation for the upcoming school opening in April 1, 2025. Staff members started coming to CCC last 3/17/2025, There were seven (7) staff present during the inspection including the Center Supervisor and the Family Services Advocate. CCC has 2 classrooms one for preschoolers and one for toddlers. There were total of 5 toilets and 6 sinks for children's use. Classrooms are observed to be clean and in order. Toddler bathroom has a diaper changing station with an arm reach sink. Required Licensing forms are observed in the prominent location. The menu is posted in the board, CCC provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. Continued LIC 809C The drinking water is provided through a water dispenser inside the classroom and water jug in the outdoor area. LPAs reviewed staff, Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate that expires on 3/6/2027 .All staff members have renewed the Mandated Reporter Training which expires on 4/9/2026. Staffing requirements are met and ECE qualifications are verified. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided. Center Supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Continued on LIC 809C Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
