Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Lopez conducted a Case Management visit and met with Assistant Director Mylene Ignacio. This visit was conducted in response to the Licensee’s request to remove room K2 from the Preschool license and decrease the capacity from 58 to 24 children, ages 2 to 6 years old. The preschool's days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 8:15am to 12:15pm . LPA verified that all individuals present today have a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption. Facility's License, Notification of Parents’ Right Poster, Child Car Seat Law, Personal Rights (LIC 613A), Emergency Disaster Plan, Menus, Activity Schedule, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist were observed to be posted. The fire clearance was granted on 8/28/23. The indoor measurements of room K1 are as followed: 18 + 40.417 + 19 + 9.583 = 87 x 12 = 1044 sq ft Encumbered 16.167 x 2 = 32 and 22.500 x 2 = 45 total = 77 sq ft 1044 - encumbered space 77 = 967 divided by 35 = 27 total children capacity Based on today's inspection, Room K1 meets the requirement for licensure with a capacity of 24 preschool children. LPAs discussed with the assistant director about supervision when children are in the outside play yard. There is no change to the outdoor space. Shaded rest area is provided by canopy and building overhang . There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection. Areas around play structure and swings have sufficient resilient material. There are no deficiencies cited during today’s visit. Exit interview was conducted with Assistant Director Mylene Ignacio and advised them that request to remove Room K2 and decrease the capacity to 24 children on the Preschool license is pending for management final review and approval. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, POSTED NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE FACILITY AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
