What the inspector wrote
On 11/03/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mandeep Kaur conducted an unannounced Required- 3 year inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Gladys Pitt, and explained to her the nature of today's inspection. Also present in the home with licensee was one preschool age child. All required posting materials were posted. The day care hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no active waivers or exceptions for this facility.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility. Fire/disaster drill was conducted on June 15, 2025. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, Licensee stated that there are four pets(dogs) and no weapons or firearms in the home. Licensee stated that dogs are up to date with the vaccinations.
Off limit areas in the home are all three bedrooms and the Master bathroom. Off limit areas outside the home is detached garage. LPA observed that the home is clean and orderly. Cleaning products, sharp objects, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. The children's bathroom is clean, sanitary, and operable. No bodies of water observed during today's inspection.
LPA reviewed three(3) children files during today's inspection for the following records: Notification of Parents
Rights (LIC995A), Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment (LIC627), Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance (LIC 282), Identification and Emergency Information (LIC700), and Immunization Records.
Licensee stated that all the children enrolled at the day care home are school age group children except one preschool age child and there are only two to three children present at a given time at the day care home.

Licensee has immunizations in measles, pertussis and flu. Licensee was advised to renew pediatric CPR/First aid certifications every two years. Licensee has current Mandated Reporter Training(AB1207) certificate that was completed on May 17, 2025. LPA reminded Licensee that Mandated Reporter Training(AB1207) must be renewed by all staff every 2 years.
Licensee stated that children bring the food from home and Licensee was advised to label the children names on all food containers including water bottles and sippy cups. Forms of discipline is talking to the children in care, redirecting the children with different activities and no corporal punishment.
LPA provided and discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at an additional resource. LPA also reminded Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices

recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased
equipment.

Licensee, Gladys Pitt, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and
volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record
clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Licensee, Gladys Pitt, was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education
website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and
Referral Agencies (R&R's) throughout California.
Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. No deficiency issued during today's inspection. Appeal rights were provided.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Gladys Pitt.

During the exit interview, the Licensee, Gladys Pitt, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex
Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
