What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kassandra Medrano conducted a Case Management inspection today. LPA met with Danna Osborne, Site Director the purpose of the visit was explained. During tour of the facility with director, at 3:25pm it was observed that two spray bottles of cleaning products, one being bleach were left on child's table and were accessible to children for approximately 5 minutes. When LPA discussed observation staff immediately moved the cleaning products and put them out of reach. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Dana Osborne. California Code of Regulations, Title 22 deficiencies are being cited on the following page(s): "NOTICE OF SITE VISIT" DOCUMENT WAS POSTED ADJACENT TO THE MAIN ENTRY DOORWAY AND VISIBLE TO PARENTS. LICENSEE MUST POST ANY TYPE A DEFICIENCIES DURING TODAYS VISIT WITH THE NOTICE AND LICENSEE UNDERSTANDS THE NOTICE AND TYPE A DEFICIENCIES MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR THIRTY DAYS. REQUIREMENTS FOR AB 633 FACT SHEET AND A COPY OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT OF LICENSING REPORTS (LIC 9224) WERE DISCUSSED WITH APPLICANT/PROVIDER. PROVIDER UNDERSTANDS THIS REQUIREMENT.

    101223(a)(2) Personal Rights(a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:(2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs.This Requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based off of interview of staff and management it was stated that staff did engage in a verbal altercation 3/31/2023 while children and parents were present.This poses a potential risk to children in care.
