This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Staff restrained a day care child this poses a potential risk to the health and safety and personal rights to children in care.

    BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

    Buildings and Grounds: All licensees shall ensure the inaccessibility of pools, including swimming pools (in-ground and above-ground), fixed-in-place wading pools, hot tubs, spas, fish ponds or similar bodies of water, through a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence. The above requirement was not met as evidence by: LPAs observed standing water in the water table, two buckets filled with water on the other side of at least a 2ft fence. This posses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care.

  • OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE

    Outdoor Activity Space: The playground shall be enclosed by a fence to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area. The fence shall be at least four feet high.This requirement was not met as evidence by; LPAs observed the fence surrounding the playground was over 4 feet, however the gate was shorter than 4 feet. This posses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care.

    101238 Buildings and Grounds(g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children.(1) Storage areas for poisons shall be locked.The requirement was not meant as evidenced by: During tour of facility at 3:25pm it was observed in classroom 2 that facility did not ensure that cleaning products were locked and made inaccesible to children. This posed an immediate risk to children in care
