What the inspector wrote

Continued from LIC 9099 Statements from staff (S1 - S2) initiated that they are currently Aides with no Early Childhood Education units (ECE). Records of ECE units could not be verified by the facility at this time. Based on the information gathered during this investigation, the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is determined to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, is being cited on the attached LIC 9099-D. Appeal rights were provided. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was read and discussed with the facility\342\200\231s Director, Branda Hardaway. The Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days.

    101416.2 (b)...infant care teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least three postsecondary semesters or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development... units related to the care of infants...approved college or university. Based on facility record review, Staff did not have the required units and no verification of staff ECE units were present at the faculity. This poses a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care.
