  • INFANT CARE TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES

    101416.2 (b)...infant care teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least three postsecondary semesters or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development... units related to the care of infants...approved college or university. Based on facility record review, Staff did not have the required units and no verification of staff ECE units were present at the faculity. This poses a potential Health and Safety risk to children in care.

    Personal Rights. Each child shall be free from corporal or unusual punishment, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse, or other actions of a punitive nature. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: based on photo evidence and interviews, staff 1 physically restrained Child 1 by pulling child’s shirt over the back of a chair while the child was seated at the chair. This is a potential health, safety, and/or personal risk to children in care.
