What the inspector wrote

Licensing program Analyst (LPA) Elpidia Hernandez Torres arrived to the center to conduct a case management visit. The center currently has a provisional license and LPA arrived to provide technical assistant regarding documentation needed when hiring new staff as well as finger print and back ground check requirements. Licensee reported when she hires a new staff she sends them to get fingerprinted and makes a file for them with all required documentation. LPA reviewed current guardian roster with licensee and showed her staff named were not on the roster. Licensee has a 2nd location where the staff that was present was associated too. LPA advised licensee how to transfer prints to the correct location. Upon reviewing staff files LPA was able to confirm the staff did have clearance. LPA printed out form LIC 311A and reviewed it with the licensee as well as LIC 9182. LPA also reviewed the regulations for a preschool aide and how many children can be supervised when an aide has 2 or more units and an aide that has 0 units. LPA gave licensee TSP brochure to review as an option in the future for additional support. This report was reviewed and discussed with the Licensee. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. All licensing reports are public information and must be made available upon request for at least three years.
