The gate is self-latching/self-closing, swings away from the pool and latching device is located no more than six inches from the top of the gate. There is a life ring that measured 22 inches diameter, however, there is no US Coast Guard Approval label. The rescue pole measured 12 feet, however, there was a fiberglass ring that did not meet specific hook requirements. The pool alarm was tested and functioned properly. It meets ASTM International Standard F2208. LPA observed licensee's daily inspection checklist for pool equipment.
