What the inspector wrote

On 4/19/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Theresa Marquez conducted a complaint inspection and met with Director Blair Vedenoff. The purpose of this inspection is to open and close the complaint regarding the above allegation. Director Vedenoff and LPA Marquez observed the north side wooden gate leading to the preschool playground. LPA and Vedenoff observed the wooden gate has a broken/loose latch. Based on LPAs observations the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be substantiated. Per California Code of Regulations Title 22 Division 12 Chapter 1, the following deficiency is being cited today (See form LIC 9099-D). Facility fence is in disrepair. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Blair Vedenoff. A copy of Appeal Rights and the Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

    BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS - The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met as evidenced by observation. LPA Marquez observed a wooden gate with a broken/loose latch. This poses a potential risk to the health, safety and personal rights to children in care.
