What the inspector wrote

On 01/27/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Denisia Jimenez conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensees Ana and Rodolfo Diaz Rodriguez . The gate is self-latching, self-closing, and opens away from the pond. There are no windows or doors providing direct access to the pond area. The in-ground koi pond is located in a section of the backyard that is inaccessible to children in care. Licensees stated there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises . No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a glass door and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number. (Continued on 809-C) Licensees ensure that children in care are supervised at all times and are aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. The licensees have 2 small dogs that are inaccessible to children. The dogs are in inaccessible areas. The licensees are aware of child safety around pets and accept responsibility for any action taken by pets. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
