On January 21, 2025, at 10:20am, an annual random inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Chavez, who met with licensee Maricela Silva. At 10:30am, the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising 10 children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility\342\200\231s operating hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday\342\200\223Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the garage, rooms #2, #3, master bedroom/bathroom, and were made inaccessible by locks and doorknob covers. The children use the back yard as the outdoor play area, and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard. Five children's records were reviewed at 11:15am. The Notification of Parents' Rights is missing for Child #3. One staff record was reviewed at 11:45am. There are currently 2 adults living in the home. The following deficiencies were cited: CCR 102417(g)(9)(A) - Emergency Disaster Drill has not been conducted within the last 6 months. HSC 1596.8662(b)(1) - The licensee's renewal of the mandated reporter training is expired. CCR 102419(d)(1) - Notification of Parents Rights. (see LIC 809D's): Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and- resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information, see PIN 22- 02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website. This consumer education website helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee Maricela Silva confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility.
