On 10/09/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dawn Dowlng conducted an unannounced Case Mangement-Incident inspection regarding reported incident that occurred on 04/23/2025 when Director Roshawn Hooper telephoned licensing to self report that child "Slauson came and stated that Teacher / Lakisha Simmons was mean and during naptime she picked up one side of the bed causing Slauson to fall off the bed. Per RP, Lakisha continuously asked Slauson not to misbehave and since Slauson did not listen, Lakisha picked up one side of the bed causing Slauson to fall off the bed. After reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, it was confirmed that the incident took place. Slauson did not sustain injuries as a result of the incident. Lakisha was suspended from work, pending investigation. Parents of Slauson were notified of the incident on 4/23/25 and were upset. Per RP, she is not aware of any other incidents involving Lakisha." Per Staff and Director interviews Staff Simmons is no longer employed at the school. LPA Dowling spoke with Director Roshawn Hooper and was informed that on 07/31/2025 staff had training on Personal Rights in order to ensure that there are future incident of this nature.
