Title 22 Regulation - 101238(a) (Building and grounds) states: The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Staff reports and interviews indicating the subject teacher carried a strong odor of marijuana and had allegedly smoked on-site during break times. LPA collected a disciplinary write-up confirming the teacher was sent home and later terminated due to the incident.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in count of 1 staff member (S3) which poses a potential health and safety to persons in care. S3 did not have documentation of a completed LIC 503 on file.

(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on records review and observation, the sink in the One Year Old classroom has tested with a lead exceedance higher than 5 ppb. According to Director, the sink in the classroom is only used for handwashing, and water jugs and personalized water bottles are available in each classroom which poses a potential health, safety, and personal rights risk.
