ReadyRule lets you see your child’s sign-in and sign-out times, browse 30 days of attendance history, get instant notifications when your child is picked up or dropped off, and control when and how you get notified.

Viewing today’s activity

When you open the ReadyRule app on your phone, you will see your child’s name and a timeline below it showing today’s events.

Each entry shows the time, whether your child was signed in or out, and who did the signing.

Viewing 30-day history

Find your child's card

On the Family app home screen, find your child’s card.

Open the history

Scroll down past today’s activity and tap “View Full History” or “History”.

Browse past days

Each day shows the total time at the facility and a sign-in/out timeline:

Tap any date to see the full timeline. Scroll up or down for older or more recent days.

Enabling push notifications

Get notified right away when your child is signed in or out.

Look for the notification banner

When you first open the app, look for a banner that says “Stay connected with push notifications”.

Tap Enable

Tap “Enable” or “Turn On Notifications”.

Allow notifications

Your phone will ask for permission. Tap “Allow” in the permission dialog.

What notifications look like

When your child is signed in:
Emma signed in — Emma was signed in at Sunshine Preschool at 9:45 AM
When your child is picked up:
Emma picked up — Emma was picked up from Sunshine Preschool at 2:30 PM by John

If you don’t see the banner

On iPhone: Go to Settings > Notifications > ReadyRule > Make sure “Allow Notifications” is on. On Android: Go to Settings > Apps > ReadyRule > Notifications > Make sure notifications are enabled.

Managing your notification preferences

Open the Family app, tap the Settings icon (gear icon) or Preferences in the menu.

Quiet hours

Set a time window where you don’t want to receive notifications. For example, set 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to skip alerts during sleep time. The system respects overnight windows that cross midnight.

Push notifications

Toggle push notifications on or off. If you have quiet hours set, they still apply even when push is enabled.

Text message (SMS) and email

Toggle text message and email notifications on or off independently. If you turn on SMS, you may see a consent checkbox.

Late pickup alerts

Toggle late pickup alerts on or off to receive a notification if your child is picked up later than usual.

Saving your changes

After changing any settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Save or Done. You will see a confirmation message.

Updating your phone number or email

Go to contact settings

Open the Family app and go to Settings > Preferences > Contact Information. Your current phone number and email are masked for privacy (e.g., ***-***-4567).

Tap Change Phone or Change Email

Tap the change link next to the contact you want to update.

Enter your new contact info

Enter the new phone number or email address.

Verify with a code

Tap “Send Verification Code”. You will receive a 6-digit code by text (for phone) or email. The code is valid for 5 minutes. Enter the code and tap “Verify”.
For security, you can only change your contact info 3 times per month. Your old phone number still works for sign-in until you change it.

Troubleshooting

  1. Check quiet hours — notifications won’t come during that time
  2. Check push notifications setting — make sure it is toggled on
  3. Check phone permissions — go to your phone’s settings and make sure ReadyRule has notification permission
  4. Check your connection — notifications need a working internet connection
  5. Try refreshing — close the app completely and reopen it
Quiet hours respect your timezone. If they seem off, adjust the start and end times and double-check your timezone setting in preferences.
  1. Make sure you are entering exactly 6 digits (no spaces or dashes)
  2. Check that the code hasn’t expired (5-minute window)
  3. If expired, request a new code by tapping “Resend”
  4. Make sure the code was received on the right channel (SMS for phone, email for email)
You might have reached the rate limit (3 changes per 30 days). Wait a few days and try again, or contact support at support@readyrule.com.

Privacy and security

  • Your contact info is masked — you will never see anyone else’s full phone or email in the app
  • Verification codes expire in 5 minutes and are used only once
  • Push notifications are encrypted
  • Only linked parents can see activity for their children
