The cluster risk map shows nearby childcare facilities on an interactive map, color-coded by inspection status. Use it to understand how much inspector activity is concentrated in your area and anticipate when visits may increase.
Quick start
Open the cluster risk map
Navigate to Cluster Risk from the sidebar or command center. The map loads automatically based on your facility’s coordinates.
Review your risk level
Check the risk badge in the map header. It displays High, Moderate, or Low based on how many nearby facilities are overdue for inspection.
Explore nearby facilities
Click any marker on the map to see facility details, including their last visit date and inspection status.
How it works
ReadyRule plots all licensed facilities within a 3-mile radius of your location on an interactive map. Each marker is color-coded:
- Purple — your facility
- Red — overdue for inspection
- Orange — due soon
- Blue — recently visited
- Green — compliant
The cluster risk level is calculated from the number of overdue facilities nearby:
| Overdue count | Risk level |
|---|
| 5 or more | High |
| 2 to 4 | Moderate |
| 0 to 1 | Low |
When multiple facilities in your area are overdue, inspectors often schedule visits in clusters to cover the region efficiently. A high cluster risk means your area is more likely to receive inspector attention soon.
If your area has fewer than 3 nearby facilities, ReadyRule shows a summary card instead of the full map. This means you are in a sparse area with naturally lower cluster risk.
The cluster risk map requires facility coordinates from CCLD data. If your facility’s coordinates are unavailable, the map will display an informational message instead.
